Community Youth Engagement Program

The team at Gimme Shelter and St Patrick’s were more than happy to have The Community Youth Engagement Program (CYEP) participate at this year’s Gimme Shelter event. The program is a complimentary service for clients who are already accessing other Joondalup Youth Support Services programs. The programs aim is to give each client the opportunity to access positive, recreational and group activities in their communities, that they would otherwise not have access to, due to their personal and social issues. In conjunction with these activities and events the young people learn and carry out photography whilst in the community, through the provision and support of cameras from ‘The Camera Recycle Project’.

They spent the evening capturing the event through the participant’s camera lens and from all accounts had a great time snapping away at the talented artists on the night.
