New Beginnings for St Patrick’s Community Support Centre

Historically, the 5th November 2008 will not only be remembered for Barack Obama being declared president-elect, but also for the brand new St Patrick’s Community Support Centre being re-opened at its new location 12 – 16 Queen Victoria Street Fremantle.

The centre was officially opened by The Most Reverend Barry Hickey Catholic Archbishop of Perth, whilst luminaries such as Mayor of Fremantle Peter Tagliaferri, Member for Fremantle Melissa Parke, Shadow Attorney General and Shadow Minister for Electoral Affairs Jim McGinty and Father John Sherman omi from the Basilica of St Patrick were in attendance, with our very own Star Light Hotel Choir making a special appearance during the opening ceremonies.

We would like to extend a big thank you to all those that attended and making the opening a wonderful occasion and also a big thank you to staff and volunteers who worked tirelessly in the weeks leading up to the big day, your efforts were amazing and highlights your dedication to making St Patrick’s Community Support Centre the best that it can possibly be….. Thank you once again.
