Volunteers Rewarded (Photo of Billie and Denise)

In November 2009 Volunteers Billie Edwards and Denise Millett both received an Australian Volunteer Award honouring over 60 years of combined service at the St Pat’s Community Support Centre.  Both these women were acknowledged for their significant contribution that they provide in the kitchen at the centre.
Federal Member for Fremantle Melissa Parke MP presented the certificates at a morning tea held in their honour. St Pat’s provides meals 365 days a year and our volunteers are at the core of St Pat’s ability to provide our services and as Melissa Parke stated ‘are a critical part of our community’s fabric’.
